The contract settles on who or what becomes the next president of Germany.
The compared choices are Ilse Aigner, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, Julia Klöckner, Angela Merkel, Karin Prien, Udo Di Fabio, and Boris Rhein.
The comparison period, eligible field, deciding metric, official source, and any tie handling are specified in the Resolution Rules below.
Germany is currently scheduled to indirectly elect a new president on January 30, 2027.
This market will resolve to the next individual who officially assumes the office of President of Germany by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET.
To count for resolution, the individual must be officially sworn in as President of Germany. Any interim or caretaker President will not count toward the resolution of this market.
If no such President takes office by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Germany; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
